About The Founder
Shantie Morgan, the founder of Evelyn’s Closet. The driving force behind this work, which is personal and rooted as being native of Washington, DC. She had the privilege of being raised around my grandmother, Evelyn. She was a remarkable woman that shaped our family into who we are today. Evelyn’s Closet was born out of that spirit. It’s more than just an initiative to provide for others, it’s a living tribute to my grandmother’s legacy and the love she imparted. The work we do at Evelyn’s Closet is centered around creating spaces where individuals can not only find the support they need but also recognize the resilience within themselves. It’s about breaking down barriers, healing from trauma, and rebuilding our lives with strength, dignity and integrity.
